KCAD Promo Production Update - TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY MORNING 4:30!!!
WAZZZAAAAAP! 4:30 this time round, woo 2 hours later :P. Being kept sane by Tim Shaw, the Demon Days album and some really nerdy animation interviews (*snort*). Don't feel too shit yet, I think it's the Red Bull and coffee combo that's keeping me going ;P RED BULL IS KING!
So ye anyway moving on...
Tomorrow (or rather today as it is now :S) is the last day of animating, I'm gonna have to really keep at it tomorrow to get it done on time, luckily mother dearest came brought me a 6 pack of Red Bull!!! (I love you mom! ^_^) Anyway tonight I sorted out a colour scheme that doesn't make you feel like you just stared directly at the sun got some of the major shots done, found a few shortcuts along the way *cough* cheats! *cough*, and left tomorrow for a few biggies but supposedly alot of diddy ones (diddies and biggies... how stoned am I? o_O).

KCAD Promo Progress Update!!! - SUNDAY/MONDAY MORNING
*YAWN* Waddup peeps! It's 2am in the morning and I just finished this shot for the promo. I think I'm becoming a little obsessive with the detail. The goddamn thing took me all day (although not non-stop) and well... look for yourself...

Yeh I kinda feel like my day was wasted :P I'm just paranoid that some smartarse kid with a HDTV is gonna zoom in and spot all my mistakes! I'm pleased with the overall animation though so :)
Anyway ye I might post more of these updates, like a little 4 (god it's only 3 now :o) day production blog as I kinda been neglecting the site a tad.
Any comments would really cheer me up right now, if not here then on me myspace. All I got is the Demon Days album and Tim Shaw to keep me sane.... and he abandons be at 1 o'clock!!! Typical... ¬¬

KCAD Rotoscoped Promo
Heeeeeeeey! For those of you that don't know I and a team from school have been making a DVD about Anti-vandalism to be shown in schools around the area. I've been co-writer and co-director on the project (joining late being recommended by my form teacher) and have been up to my eyeballs in scripts and storyboards ever since. But now after 2 months of stress and screaming into my pillow the first edit of the movie is finally finished :P I'm not too happy with some of the aspects but the main thing is I've learned alot about filming and how it all works behind the scenes :)
Anyway, now with a week to go I've started work on a short promotional video for the DVD to appear briefly before the menu. This time round I'm trying out a new form of animation: rotoscoping. This basically means I go out, film someone doing somthing, import it into flash, and draw over them doing the somthing they're doing. In this case I've used KCAD actor/ editor Oli.
It's a very labouring technique to use but the end result looks great.
So here's some screenies of what I've done so far. I've got through it surprisingly quickly considering how daunting the task seemed at first - not bad for a days work :)

Wooow it's been a while!
God, things have been so busy around here - SATs, movie making, going to Russia (As you do), making DVDs... that coupled with me being the laziest arsehole in the world doesn't really help :P But anyway it's the hols now so i'm getting back on track (barley). First things first you know that gorgeous site design... stuff that! The Joker Lounge is being renovated... James and Lee have been tightly packed in a cardboard box (kept sane with promises of bubble wrap) while the decorators move in to tear the place to bits. As for the Boggles... well they haven't said much objection wise... not that they say much at all. So expect that in the coming weeks. Maybe you'll get to see a bit more of the Joker flat than your used too...
New movie being uploaded soon, revised forum rules and more frequent posts! COMING UP!

The Holidays Are Over :(
Well, it's that day again, the holidays are over and it's back to teh same old routine. But hey I go back to shcool another year older! Yep, last Saturday (Feb 10th) was my bday and now I'm 14, one year away from bieng able to see Hot Fuzz in the cinemas (grr!). Though as far as half terms go this ones been pretty naff: the holidays started off 2 days early because of all the snow we had so I ended up making this so-awesome-it-hurts Snow- Boggle:
Also I'm close to announcing the secret movie I'm working on but at the moment I want to secure it's future by securing some voice talent! This is the first movie I've made that I won't be fully voice acting so I can no longer rely on myself to provide the lines I need on the day when I need them. So If you think you can voiceact and can get the voices (.mp3) to me quickly and of high quality then don't hesitate to give me a bell via the "Mail" link in the Joker Lounge. One of the main characters I'm having problems with is a gruff voiced male so if anyone could get that role filled and take a load off my shoulders then that'd be much appreciated.

Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year!
Well, christmas has come and gone but hey, tommorrow is new years eve! Since christmas I've been playing non-stop on Zelda Twighlight princess and Guitar Hero. And to think I used to be a nintendo virgin. Did anyone catch the christmas wallapaper? Well with any luck they'll be a new years one either tonight or tommorrow. And taht James Blonde xmas comic isn't complete cuz I was so busy doin xmas shoppin! AAARGH! But don't worry my new years resolution is to get stuff done in reasonable time! And soon the site WILL be more exploration based. There's loads of junk you'll be able to find. The original Joker comic, ye old comic strips and an elmo with a dark, dark, secret.... so look forward to that! And all of you asking "when's the next boggles gonna be out?" and "what you workin on Dan?" can shutup and head over to the previews page I'll be making. Screenshots, concept art and maybe some animation.

Merry Xmas
It's official, the Joker Lounge has had a christmas makeover! Take a look around at some of the presents under the tree (all of which we want from santa so if he's reading this... ;p). As I'm sure you can see there's a guitar hero theme building which is again top of our xmas lists. I can't wait to be screaming along to Ace Of Spades come christmas ^_^! And don't worry guys a comic is underway and an awesomley awesome christmas wallpaper! Meeeeeeery christmas.
